Ayurveda 101 with Nadia Carriere
Saturday September 7, 2024 10:45am - 12:15pm CDT
Did you know Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga? In fact yoga is incomplete without her and much of the philosophy and energetic anatomy is based around ayurvedic principles. Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical sciences known to mankind, and is the practice of maintaining and restoring health by balancing elements. Each of us is uniquely different and made of various ratios of elements, the key is to find out our unique constitutional make-up so we can support ourselves, regain or create balance and health.

This lecture and conversational workshop will introduce you to the following concepts in Ayurveda:

• The origins of Ayurveda and the sacred philosophy behind it
• Ayurveda & Yoga as sister sciences
• Ayurveda as a holistic approach to health
• You will find out what your dosha is
• Gunas - qualities to bring balance

The Archetype of Astrology with Deborah Coons
Sunday September 8, 2024 9:00am - 10:15am CDT
Come on an enchanted journey with us and let’s explore how the patterns formed by the planets and luminaries in the heavens have a meaningful correspondence to the patterns of our affairs on Earth. Astrology has been around for as long as humans have had recorded history. Symbols found on rocks and the inside of caves show we have been looking to the heavens for greater meaning as long as humans have existed. Archetypal Astrology is a branch of astrology that focuses on specific archetypal forces that correspond to the 12 Zodiacal signs and connect us all together. By using myth, story, and symbol, looking at one’s natal chart and current transits, we can find deeper meaning in our everyday experiences. Synchronicities that surround us remind us we are on the right sacred path and archetypal astrology is the symbolic language that reflects this truth.

Dosha Balancing Yoga Flow with Nadia Carriere
Sunday September 8, 2024 2:30pm - 3:45pm CDT
5 Elements, 4 Directions & 3 Doshas - Ayurvedic Balancing Vinyasa

Our bodies are beautifully unique with their own elemental makeup consisting of the five elements, earth, water, fire, air and ether. These elements make up the three doshas, or energetic forces of the body that affect every aspect of our health. Every human with their individual genetic makeup, and experience whether it be environmental, physical or emotional, has an effect on the balance of the doshas.

In this tri-dosha vinyasa yoga flow, we will be moving through a balancing sequence, exploring all three doshas (Pitta, Vata, and Kapha), four directions and five elements. This practice offers a little bit of everything - energizing and heat building, cooling and relaxing, as well as stabilizing and grounding, in order to achieve a balance throughout our mind and body.
