Come relax and renew in this workshop designed to alleviate anxiety and stress. Through gentle movement and conscious breathing, learn simple techniques that will help calm both mind and body. You will be guided through a gentle yoga sequence focusing on connecting movement with breath to begin to still the mind and release muscle tension. In addition to our yoga practice, we will take a journey into the breath and learn simple breathing exercises to reduce stress and anxiety. You will come away from this experience with increased knowledge on how stress affects the body, as well as simple techniques to do at home to feel better, release and let go of anxiety and stress.

ABOUT LISA KEARNY
Lisa Kearny OTR/L, E-RYT 200 has been studying yoga for over 25 years and loves to share the healing benefits of yoga, as well as constantly learning from her students. She has studied restorative yoga with Judith Lasater and obtained her therapeutic yoga certification at Integral Yoga in New York City. A graduate of Columbia University, Lisa works as an Occupational Therapist providing both physical and cognitive skill training related to activities of daily living. She enjoys incorporating therapeutic yoga in a rehabilitation setting and has worked with clients with a variety of injuries and health concerns.
